From 4 to 6 June MUMAC returns to the Triennale Milano for the event entitled “I luoghi del Progetto” (The Places of Design) curated by the Circuito Lombardo Musei del Design of which MUMAC is a member.
The initiative includes an exhibition and a series of related events, including presentations and screenings. During these three days, there will be a series of opportunities for in-depth discussion and exchange between the members of the circuit: I luoghi del Progetto will feature MUMAC together with the other twenty-six design museums, archives and studio-museums belonging to the Circuito Lombardo Musei del Design, which embodies Lombardy’s excellence in the field of industrial design.
On this occasion, Gruppo Cimbali’s Coffee Machine Museum will showcase, for the first time outside its premises, a prototype of a coffee maker for domestic use designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, currently on display in the MUMAC exhibition rooms.
The numerous events scheduled during this busy three-day event include the “Oggetti unici” (Unique Objects) cycle on 4 June at 6 p.m., at which MUMAC Manager Barbara Foglia will present the Castiglioni prototype to the public and tell the unusual story behind this truly unique design object.
All events are free of charge and no booking is required.
