On Tuesday 18 May 2021 MUMAC will host a double event to celebrate International Museum Day, organised by ICOM (International Council of Museums), with the theme “The future of museums: regenerate and reinvent”
MUMAC is participating in the 2021 ICOM International Museum Day with a double event (physical and virtual)
MUMAC is seizing the opportunity of International Museum Day to restart, in total safety, welcoming back its visitors, who will be able to visit the museum collections, which have been presented virtually over the last few months and are now ready to welcome back visitors for a ‘renewed’ experience. The museum will be reopened on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Since, even though it is being reopened to the public, the museum will continue to be a vaccination centre in the coming months, demonstrating what it means to be a business that is integrated in the local area and a successful model for kick-starting its recovery, until further notice the museum can only be accessed by appointment and from Via Manzoni 17 in Binasco (instead of Via Neruda, which remains the exclusive point of access for those receiving vaccination).
On Tuesday 18, Enrico Maltoni, the world’s most important collector of professional espresso coffee machines, will also be on site to give visitors guided tours on this first day of reopening.

- For those who will not be able to attend in person, MUMAC, in collaboration with the Museo do Café in Santos, Brazil, a partner since 2015, will organise an Instagram Takeover, sharing new content focused on virtual discovery of their respective collections.
