L'Amica Geniale

MUMAC’s historical machines are featured in the hit TV series “L’amica geniale”.

Coffee machines feature not only in our lives, but also in TV series: we invite enthusiasts, coffee lovers, professionals and collectors to look out for our machines, the Cimbali M15 and Faema E66, with their vintage coffee grinders,  which were lent to the production to stage the scenes of everyday life set in the 1960s and 1970s in the TV series “MY BRILLIANT FRIEND: Those Who Leave and Those Who Stay”: be sure to spot our machines in the top-rated TV series airing this week on Rai 1 from Sunday 6 February 2022!

THE LOAN

Loans are not only aimed at museums and exhibitions: on this occasion, the loan made by MUMAC – Gruppo Cimbali’s Coffee Machine Museum, has allowed the historical pieces, which are usually exhibited at MUMAC in the fourth room devoted to design, to feature for the third time in one of the television series that has most captivated audiences in Italy and beyond in recent years: an HBO-Rai Fiction series based on the best-selling “Those Who Leave and Those Who Stay”, the third book in Elena Ferrante’s quadrilogy published by Edizioni E/O; a production by Fandango, The Apartment, Fremantle and Wildside in collaboration with Rai Fiction and HBO Entertainment, directed by Daniele Luchetti.

Loans are still one of the most important aspects of a business museum. They are an opportunity for the museum to go beyond the confines of both its premises and the company, reaching out to a wider and more varied public: the machines offer fascinating and realistic journeys back in time.
