MUMAC at Milano Design Week

• MUMAC Bee in Lambrate

Our Piaggio Ape Car branded MUMAC, fitted with a E61 Legend, will be present in one of the hotspots of the city, in Via Ventura 14, opposite the former historical site of FAEMA, to offer a free coffee and information useful to visit the museum. Via Ventura 14 is a place that involves visitors with its atmosphere of a former industrial area, in this occasion used to host the "Ventura Academies", i.e. the presentation of colleges, academies and universities around the world.
MUMAC Bee will be present every day from 12th to 17th April from 11.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m., with extended hours until 8.00 p.m.on next Wednesday, April 13th

The thousand faces of
design in Milan drawn in a number of possible routes, crossing the entire city
and its surrounding: the Compasso d'Oro Streets is an ADI Lombardia initiative
to lead the visitors to the discovery of the XXI Triennial of selected projects
over more than sixty years of the Compasso d'Oro ADI life, that are still
capable of arousing wonder and thoughts about design can improve the daily
lives of all.

MUMAC enters with pride in this important circuit with the exhibition of
LaCimbali Pitagora espresso coffee machine, the only one that ever has won the
prestigious award.

 • 50+!
 The exhibition "50+! - The great industry game" organized by Francesca Molteni and
staged by Franco Raggi, with the support of Museimpresa (the Italian
Association of company museums and archives, promoted by Assolombarda e
Confindustria) ,set up in the headquarter of the Order of Architects, opened on
12th April in the central Via Solferino 17 (Milan) and will
be open until May 13th; a photographic panel will present, among
other Italian industrial icons, also the Pitagora coffee machine designed in
1962 by the Castiglioni brothers for La Cimbali;  after this exhibition,
“50+!” will become a traveling exhibition in various Italian cities, allowing
to make known our reality in many prestigious Italian places.

• Switch On Show

Inaugurated on April 8th, the exhibition displays, in the suggestive location of Incoronata Library in corso Garibaldi 116, two pieces of MUMAC Collection (LACimbali Pitagora and FAEMA E61) and some household items produced in the 50's (Baby Faema, Faemina, Microcimbali) from the private collection Maltoni. On April 19th there will be a shuttle from the exhibition at MUMAC to bring visitors enthusiasts of art and design to visit our museum. The exhibition will be open until 22nd April.
