On Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 October, MUMAC opens its doors exclusively for the FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano) 2021 Autumn Days, offering members of the public the opportunity to visit its exhibition space, rich in history, design and culture. The beauty and charm of this great exhibition can be appreciated by anyone who wants to discover a history that speaks to everyone.
Participation in the event, which is organised and run by volunteers of the Gruppo FAI Milano Sud- Est (South East Milano FAI Group), is by booking only on the FAI website at the following link. Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in a journey through the history of a product that has accompanied the evolution of Italian customs since the end of the 19th century, celebrating what is undoubtedly Italy’s most iconic ritual: coffee at the bar.
The museum displays more than 100 professional espresso machines in a journey through time from many historical eras and an archive containing more than 25,000 historical and photographic documents that have already fascinated tens of thousands of visitors from all over the world.
The special opening of the museum to the public for the FAI Autumn Days will take place in complete safety and in accordance with the current regulations on anti-Covid measures. Access to the event will be allowed only to holders of a Green Pass, as required by law.
The museum is also offering a virtual tour of the exhibition on the Google Arts&Culture portal, for anyone who is not able to visit the space in person.
